Having a voice in the development and implementation of public policies is a right and responsibility of all citizens. In this third module, you will learn why policy processes need to be transparent, and how citizens can influence and monitor policy making and policy implementation thanks to digital technologies. By the end of this module, you will:

• Know what public policy making is, how the process works, and how it affects you.
• Increase your capacity to monitor public policy and hold your politicians and public officials accountable, using Freedom of Information and Open Government data.
• Be aware of some civic-tech tools for monitoring public policy and a recognised good practice in the field of policy making.
