Cross-Media Journalism
A learning journey exploring journalism(s) in the digital age
Overview
The training course, produced within the PAgES project with the support of the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, aims to build capacity on cross-media journalism education among universities in Libya, and to support them in developing online teaching capacities. The training is built on advanced methods in cross-media and cross-media journalism teaching and aims at empowering Libyan teachers who will lead the PAgES Master Course in each university.
Target participants
Libyan teaching staff who will teach in the newly established Master course on Cross-Media Journalism at the Universities of Misurata, Sirte, Tripoli, and Zawia.Learning outcomes
Through this course, trainees will:- Develop an advanced expertise in cross-media journalism, with a focus on cross-media, journalism analysis, mobile journalism and data-journalism;
- Update their knowledge according to current models and paradigms in the field of Cross-media Journalism and Internet Studies;
- Share and productively discuss current teaching methodologies, by means of a systematic confrontation with European colleagues;
- Learn how to design their courses making a meaningful use of educational technology.
About the PAgES project
PAgES “Post-Crisis Journalism in Post-Crisis Libya” is an international cooperation project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education program of the European Union during the period 15 January 2019 – 14 January 2022, involving five partners from Europe (Italy, Portugal and Spain) and four from Libya.
